Adherents to all beliefs about our place in the cosmos should submit podcasts to BR GOP

“God” isn’t the property of the far right. The Framers did not mention a deity in The Constitution & did not open sessions w/prayer. In 1803, James Madison wrote “separation of church & state is to keep forever fr these shores” strife soaked the soil of Europe w/blood for centuries.” 1/5

On Broad Ripple (“BR”) GOP Club’s FB page episode 37 of podcast, “Faith, Family & Politics” is been posted & advances evangelicalism. Christianity is the theme. 1st Amend: “[N]o law…

Our gov't is not a theocracy

In the early 1990s an NFL player negotiated a contract to require that he be 1 of the 3 highest pd linebackers in NFL. What would have happened if 3 other linebackers had the same provision? Our country faces threats on several fronts w/religion a common factor in each. 1/4

A theocracy is “Government of a state by those who are believed to be or represent that they are acting under the immediate direction of God or some other divinity.” Black’s Law Dictionary, 10th ed., 2014, p. 1706.…

If only John Calvin had been a little kid (& Thomas Hobbes a real tiger)

Christians who embrace Calvinism? About 30%. John Calvin (1509-1564) believed humanity is “totally depraved” & “utterly perverse.” He was a theologian who taught his “god” has decided history, i.e., no matter what you do you (probably) will go to hell. 1/4

Self-hatred & absence of free will are at the “heart” of beliefs of many Evangelicals. Current efforts to terrorize LGBTQ children, their parents & so many others makes sense when one sees the terrorists hate… Continue

IQ & evangelicals don't mix.

Comment by Micah Beckwith to a post on FB page for “Mouthwash” got to me. John Schmitz posted a chart & sd: East Chicago, S Bend, Indy all have avg BELOW 10% proficiency in English Language Arts and Math. All Democrat controlled cities. 1/8

Beckwith’s reply: When you flood our schools w/Leftist, woke ideological crap, this is result. Our kids can’t do Math & English to save their lives but they all know why it’s ok to choose the bathroom of your preferred gender & that BLM…

Freedom from and of religion: are of = importance.

Years ago many people refused to believe that little tiny organisms cause a lot of disease and death. Germs, bacteria, microbes, viruses - something that cannot be seen cannot exist. Science advanced - yes, evolved - as people learned.

Today we face a global pandemic - that most of the rest of the globe has addressed much more effectively than has the United States. Many people have died who would otherwise be alive because of the ineptitude of the current occupant of the Oval…

INCD5 GOP candidate cs Beckwith - & the "s" is not for "salad":

In “American Graffiti,” a character says to put a traffic ticket in the “CS” file - “c” for chicken and “s” not for “salad.” Rev Micah Beckwith, one of my opponents in the June 2 GOP primary for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District (INCD5), is cs.

Beckwith initiated contact with me in a February 1 tweet: “You’re in the wrong primary! But I’m glad you decided to fake it in the GOP primary. I’m gonna have a lot fun dismantling the stupidity of your progressive ideology. Can’t wait to see…

Mr. Santorum: There is an "establishmnt clause" in the First Amendment and it is not an emetic.

When Europeans first came to the shores of this continent, Europe was in turmoil over religion. Between Luther’s 95 Theses to the Treaty of Westphalia over one hundred years of bloodshed passed. Some who came to the North American shores sought refuge from religious persecution. Others came for economic reasons. Some came through no choice—chained and sold, once they arrived here, as chattel. They were slaves.

Rick Santorum is an odd person to advocate rejection of the separation…
