Micah Beckwith, the magaGOP nominee for IN Lt Gov, says, “I’m labeled as polarizing. I don’t think I am.... I build consensus, I don’t care where you are in the ideological spectrum.” [FN1] I guess Beckwith’s evil twin has been running around saying things like... 1/9
You cannot be moral unless you are Christian. [FN2] Beckwith won’t be “ceremonial” or a “yes person,” but “a proactive Lt. Governor” and “fight for our constitutional rights, lead the war against the woke culture and get the politics out of the classroom.” [FN3] And? 2/9
At a Monroe County GOP dinner, Beckwith said s/he “would fire staff members with pronouns in their email signature.” [FN4] That violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Ac t of 1964. [FN5] Beckwith might actually build consensus, but not of a kind that s/he means. 3/9
Votes for Gov/Lt Gov can’t be split. If Beckwith is Lt Gov, the Gov can ask the A.G. to stop Beckwith for acting outside Indiana’s Constitution, except Todd Rokita is Indiana’s Atty Gen’l & much closer to Beckwith. A waste of tax $$? Don’t worry. Beckwith didn’t. 4/9
In Beckwith’s only public office, a bone-headed attempt to censor books cost the libraries six figures. Huh. The Beckwith campaign doesn’t list HEPL. [FN6] Beckwith lies, but if Braun & Beckwith win, Beckwith doesn’t have to lie anymore. Here are guides to voting: 5/9
1) Braun & Beckwith are joined at bodily appendages, so #BrainsNotBraun. 2) Beckwith’s lies that s/he builds consensus puts the “ass” in passive/agressive. 3) GOP candidates don’t disavow Beckwith, so each is Beckwith. Remember: follow Cassie Jackson on Facebook! 6/9
