Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

One question for Mike Braun ahead of Oct 2 debate...

Tomorrow evening, 10/2/24, is the first debate between the nominees for Governor of Indiana’s two “major” political parties. If both parties functioned in ways remotely sane, this blog would suggest questions, on major issues, for both candidates. 1/10

Sanity long ago left what was called “the party of Lincoln.” Sen Mike Braun won May’s primary w/236,649 votes, [FN1] but the real authority, if the ticket wins, will reside in a person who is #2 on the ticket thanks to 891 delegates at the party’s convention in June. 2/10

Question: Can Gov Braun keep Lt Gov Micah Beckwith in check? Braun’s assurances are tepid. [FN2] Lt Gov Beckwith can call press conferences. Beckwith, in a video posted 10/1/24, says Hoosiers’ choice is between “godly boldness” and “the Jezebel spirit.” [FN3] 3/10

How’s that going to work for you, Mike? You were a little flustered last year when you goofed & said laws that criminalize marriages between people of different races should be left to individual States. How flustered will you get w/these pressures? 4/10

When Beckwith’s people camp out in front of your office door or on the lawn of the Governor’s Mansion or you’re being doxed, will you be able to function as Governor? Are you working out? In case you don’t already know, Mike, Beckwith doesn’t care about you. 5/10

You don’t have “Braun/Beckwith” on campaign emails. One joint appearance on the calendar is past. You might want to watch that video. Beckwith’s shirt? Says: “Beckwith.” To return to the question for tomorrow night. How do you keep Beckwith in check? 6/10

Beckwith as Lt Gov will have his eyes cast upward. You never know when Beckwith will create one more chat w/”the Lord.” I mean: Beckwith wants more power and you’re in the way. Are you watching your blood pressure, Mike? Who prepares your food? 7/10

History is chock full of valuable lessons about those who crave power. Merde de Poulet is a vile little rat, Mike. How do you keep her/him in check? That should not be the main concern of Indiana’s Gov. Hell, you have to worry about survival! #BrainsNotBraun 8/10

Footnotes:
FN1. Braun won w/236,649 votes, or 39.6 % of six (6) candidates. AXIOS, Indianapolis.
FN2. “I’m in charge” & if Beckwith doesn’t work w/Braun it won’t be as “fruitful.” Volmert, Isabella, “Indiana Republicans upset ...” Siouxland Proud, 6/15/24. 9/10

Footnotes:
FN3. The video is from a podcast hosted by “Daniel Bernard.” 10/10
