Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

Beckwith shouldn't lie about the truth!

Micah Beckwith [FN1] posted a photo of Aldous Huxley w/3 paragraphs and a mention of “Tyler Durden.” Beckwith asserts “the left deliberately spreads false information based on feelings.” Beckwith’s posts have an emetic [FN2] effect, so grab a bucket. The post is classic “Becky.” 1/6

1: He asserts w/o specific citation to authorities. He can disavow parts when convenient or claim the whole thing as his.
2: He lies w/o concern for facts. He does this in a post about facts as “the backbone of reality.” Irony? 3 syllables puts irony outside Becky’s vocabulary. 2/6

3: He’s ignorant of whom he quotes. In Aldous Huxley’s novel “Island,” authoritarian rule, akin to Becky’s dreams, wipes out an idyllic native culture. In 1946, Huxley foreshadowed his treatment of religion in “Island”: “The conscious and intelligent pursuit of man's Final End, 3/6

the unitive knowledge of immanent Tao or Logos, the transcendent Godhead or Brahman. And the prevailing philosophy of life would be a kind of Higher Utilitarianism.” But Becky mentions “Tyler Durden” who is as fictional as 4/6

the blue-eyed, blonde haired Jesus of the far right. Durden is a pivotal character in “Fight Club” & plays out dissociative personality disorder in a maelstrom of violence. Becky should shut up about “truth” & save campaign $. An elongated nose means wider ads. 5/6

Footnotes: FN1. Beckwith, a Hamilton county preacher & self-described Christian Nationalist, lost in the 2020 GOP primary for INCD5 and has said he seeks the GOP nomination for Indiana Lt Gov in 2024. FN2. An “emetic” induces vomiting. Oxford Languages. 6/6
