Oct 8: IN early in-person voting starts. [FN1] One office-seeker “is assembling “an advisory council of agricultural, legislative & other ‘experts’ to ensure alignment w/Christian, Const’l, & Conservative principles.” [FN2] To be very clear: that plan is Unconstitutional. 1/10

For a year before the State GOP convention, Micah Beckwith recruited people to run to be delegates. By 67 votes, Beckwith was the running mate of Mike Braun, winner of the May primary w/236,649 votes. [FN3] Beckwith said he’d be a thorn in the governor’s side. 2/10

Problems: 1) Beckwith idolizes magaGOP members of Congress. 2) Beckwith’s seemed to emulate them when, as a member of HEPL’s board of trustees, those libraries were brought to a standstill. 3) Ind. Const. Does not say the Lt Gov is a thorn in anyone’s side. [FN4] 3/10

After the June convention, Braun said, “I’m in charge” & said if Beckwith doesn’t work w/Braun it won’t be as “fruitful.” [FN5] A Lincoln Day event was billed as the only time Braun and Beckwith will appear together. [FN6] Braun said not many listen to Beckwith. [FN7] 4/10

If their ticket wins, Backwith will be meeting with an “advisory counsel” to make our State government as “Christian” as possible. After all, Beckwith has said you cannot have a capacity for morality if you’re not Christian. [FN8] High-profile people from the far right will... 5/10

be trooping in and out of the Lt Gov’s office down the hall & maybe holding press conferences. Braun will... what? Beckwith will go into classrooms to make sure they’re teaching the right history. We cannot depend upon our courts to say Beckwith’s acts are unconstitutional. 6/10

Beckwith is a high-profile low-life and the face of magaGOP. We have to deny them victory at the ballot box. A vote for Braun is a vote for Beckwith. #BrainsNotBraun And everyone, this is my friend: Follow Cassie Jackson on Facebook! 7/10
