Micah Beckwith is the face of Indiana’s magaGOP. Of four GOP nominees for Statewide office, [FN1] Beckwith’s name probably is most widely recognized. Beckwith draws media attention by making statements many see as sexist, racist &/or bigoted. Beckwith’s a coward. 1/10

Beckwith avoids direct confrontations & has others take the heat. [FN2] Beckwith learned, from a run for INCD5 in 2020, that the base of support for the “Beckwith” brand is not broad enough for a primary win. The State convention nominated Beckwith w/891 votes. [FN3] 2/10

Recently, somebody posted their belief that, especially w/people so entrenched in their views as is the case now, peoples’ minds won’t be changed by debates. Unfortunately, the only debates people see today are more like campaign events. Debates offer more. 3/10

Beckwith is a bully and, like most bullies, a coward. Beckwith’s references to debate offend me. I’m sorry to have to break this to Beckwith’s fans, aspiring brown shirts that they are, but the greatest harm from Beckwith’s disregarding fear of debating me on a level field? 4/10

Voters will learn that Beckwith lies & the specifics of how. Years ago I spoke w/a person who pushed home schooling. He said he’d debated in high school & spoke fondly of it. I asked him how debate is taught in home schooling. “It’s not” was his blunt reply. 5/10

There is no scoreboard to reflect how many points are racked up. Unfortunately for Beckwith, the experience will be unpleasant. Beckwith has used cut-outs to take heat or as straw men to whom s/he can explain answers to questions I’ve posed in blogs or on podcasts. 6/10

I did not seek this fight. Beckwith did. For any to act as though Beckwith has engaged, let alone prevailed, in a debate w/me is absurd. Beckwith disgusts many of us. For him to make any claim to prowess in debate demeans it as a form of communication. 7/10

So Beckwith: put up or shut up. We have a level playing field w/a neutral judge to moderate. I know. As Merde de Poulet you will ... how did you describe it? Yeah, wussing out & running “kinda pretty quick.” You have my contact info. 8/10
