Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

Vote June 2 if you've not already!

Yesterday the news reported how many people have mailed in their ballots for tomorrow’s (June 2) primary election. If you have not voted, please do not be dissuaded from going to the polls to cast your vote.

I shop for food and other essentials at a store that also sells books. The past few times I’ve gone there, one book amongst “best sellers” has been turned so as to hide the cover. The first time I thought it was a mistake and turned the book back around.

Convincing people there’s “no reason” to vote is one of several ways voting can be suppressed. The goal is to keep people at home - or anyplace but the polls.

Of the other 14 candidates who seek the Republican nomination for U.S. House in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District (INCD5), media have determined several as more likely to win. This is one more way to suppress the vote.

Those several candidates vow allegiance to the current occupant of the Oval Office and say how great he has handled COVID-19. They deny reality - and seem to have no problem with the racism he spews forth each day.

They’ve said race is “no problem” and blame the current unrest - i.e., riots - on people who exercise their First Amendment right to protest. History - e.g., protests for civil rights - shows violence in such protests is committed by people who want to discredit the protests.

About that book where I shop - about the fourth or fifth time it was turned so a passerby could not see the cover, I knew that was deliberate. Each time I shop at that store, I go to that end cap and turn the book back around.

Please - PLEASE: if you have not voted in Indiana’s primary, scheduled for tomorrow, please do not be dissuaded from casting your vote. I’m running as a Republican for U.S. House. We have to seize control of the GOP from forces of bigotry and ignorance.

Election of the first Republican President sparked the Civil War. Racists in Southern States chose to commit treason rather than let someone who would end slavery take office. Would you have stayed home and not voted in that election of 1860?

The book I turn around is Michelle Obama’s book, "Becoming". There isn’t a book by trump’s wife. She hasn’t written one. If she does, the cover photos might be deemed obscene. Racism still thrives here. It has found fertile manure in the campaigns of my opponents.

I’m Mark Small, GOP candidate for INCD5. I’m pro-environment, pro-choice, pro-civil rights and anti-trump. I believe in the traditional values of the GOP, not the bastardized values of dt and his minions. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it.

minor correction; you said "the Oval Office", I think you meant to say "the Oval Bunker".
