The NFL® squeezes local & State gov’t for every possible nickel. A website focused on pro sports’ shakedowns of gov’t details, quite well, fibs tossed out to secure public $ to finance billionaires’ hobbies. [FN3] The “bottom line” is, well, the bottom line: 2/10

Public subsidies for pro sports (e.g., NFL) are not cost-effective. Jobs created are either temps (e.g., construction trades) or low-paying (e.g., food & service). #47 tried an end run by buying a franchise in the USFL, a pro football league w/games in the spring. 3/10

One USFL owner said it was “a great league and a great idea, but then everyone let [#47] take over. It was our death.” [FN4] An ESPN documentary depicts #47 as a blustery, incompetent bad guy who bought the franchise to be able to sue the NFL.® [FN5] 4/10

#47’s aim: push “fellow owners to move the league to the fall” [FN6] & sue the NFL® under anti-trust laws. A jury ruled against the NFL® & awarded #47 damages of One Dollar ($1), tripled by statute. Today #47 will watch the Super Bowl®, but w/differences. 5/10

Once again #47, at Putin’s direction, [FN7] has stolen the Oval Office. + #47 has immunity for all #47 does [FN8]. There’s no need to out-source a fake thing like last summer. This will be in-house & the results quite real. [FN9] I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it. 6/10
