Thirty-eight percent (38%) of all people are a**holes. This has not been subjected to peer review, but I believe is accurate. The 38% spans all demographics: Black, white, red, yellow; sex, gender, orientation; age or nationality. We have two sides in a significant political divide. 1/4
Between the 2 lies the Undecided. Under a constitution based on democratic principles, how does one sway the Undecided? Maybe “reason” and “facts” are important, but “reason” is tough when ppl like Steve Bannon, on his Jan 5 podcast, bragged his side is “unreasonable.” 2/4
Yet without “facts” reason is meaningless. We have to address things trotted out as “facts,” by trump, et al, items redolent of The Enquirer. The right wing has made civility and calm seem to be signs of weakness, even as they talk over and bully those who disagree with them. 3/4.
The Undecided represent swing votes that make a difference. Tomorrow is not one year since we faced a “constitutional crisis.” We still face such a crisis. We have to limit the 38% to only 38%. We use reason and facts. In case you didn’t guess, I’m not a MAGA. 4/4
