“Top 10" and “A+” are gauges of success. Usually, but not always. Sen.Todd Young (R-IN) is in the top 10 of members of Congress who receive $ from the NRA. Todd’s take was almost $3 mil & the A+ was the NRA’s grade for Sen Young as a whore on gun issues & earned that $. 1/4

NRA gave kudos as Sen Young opposed: 1) universal background checks; 2) ban on semi-auto firearms (e.g., AR-15s); 3) ban on “green tip” ammo (35% of AR-15 ammo market & that some call “armor-piercing”). In the NRA’s eyes Sen Young’s pantaloons are pristine. 2/4

We should hope a Senator would receive zero money from a lobbying organization that was called a "foreign asset" for Russia in the period leading up to the 2016 election, according to a Senate committee in 2019. We should hope a Senator flunks the NRA’s tests. 3/4
