My work here is done. That's not an oblique way to describe self-destruction. It's a statement of truth. Shelves of books about our history no longer are worth the trees felled for the paper. They're creating a theocracy under the aegis of a deity that does not exist. Knowledge means nothing. Perhaps the plan was to bitch about a stolen election so loudly by a lead candidate so clearly unstable that we demanded every one accept the results that they knew would be a stolen election - but for their leader. The republic is dead. I have to find a different line of work, one devoid of empathy & w/genuine disregard for the truth. Those are dynamics of the new regime. The last four words of "1984" come to mind: "I love Big Brother." Well I never have & never shall. By late afternoon I hope to perk up.
