Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

March 29 Show: streamed live from Clarion Waterfront Hotel during "Cabin Fever Weekend" sponsored by Coldcock Whiskey.

Clarion Waterfront Hotel is on the west side of Indianapolis on Crawfordsville Road, just west of I-465 at 2930 West Waterfront Parkway. We stream live from 11 am to 1 pm on Indiana Talks dot com. A focal topic for The Show  will be legislative efforts to restrict voting rights.

Our guest panelists include: Bill Groth, who litigated the Indiana "Voter ID" law before the United States Supreme Court; and a representative from the Marion County Clerk's Office, the office responsible for voter registration in Marion County.

We also shall have two candidates, on the May 6 primary ballot. Each is a candidate on the Democratic Party primary election ballot. David Hennessy is an unslated candidate for Marion Superior Court judge. Allen Davidson is a candidate for the United States House of Representatives, Fifth Congressional District. He is one of three Democrats seeking to run in the November general election against U.S. Rep. Susan Brooks, the Republican incumbent.

Bill Levin has organized a three-day "Cabin Fever Weekend" festival, during which our podcast will take place. Coldcock Whiskey is sponsor of the event. Coldcock Whiskey is the World's first "herbal whiskey." We shall endeavor to engage a representative of Coldcock Whiskey to join us and describe the company's products. When I was a college Freshman I understood differences between what were---then---the major types of whiskey. Single malts especially are nuanced. (Some people confuse "scotch" for single malts. A "scotch" is a blend. A single malt is the real thing.) There are fine bourbons, distilled under odd names with small numbers in distribution but excellent flavor. I retired from my avocation as an explorer in the realms of whiskey in January, 2007, but that is a story for another time.

The Coldcock Whiskey FaceBook page has more details. There is a cover charge. Bill Levin is the organizer, and so the event will be worth the effort to travel and enjoy.
