Texas Lt Gov Dan Patrick tweeted about Critical Race Theory (CRT) “we will ban it in publicly funded higher ed. That’s why we created the Liberty Institute at UT [Univ Texas].” To “ban” is “to legally or officially prohibit.” This violates academic freedom of UT faculty. 2/5

The “Liberty Institute” was created 2 “ban” teaching of CRT at the college level. If the ignorant & misinformed have their way, perhaps the theory of evolution will be banned by an “Advanced Science” group created for that goal. That would mean lots of needless deaths. 3/5

We’ve seen evolution at work in the pandemic. Because many refused 2 B vaccinated, COVID was much broader & greater numbers of mutations, or “variants,” arose & immunities developed in the virus. Evolution is real, but religion could block its teaching. 4/5
