Mobs storm govt bldgs. Taxes R high, money short, ppl fed up. Women, African-Americans & indigenous people are left out. Veterans feel benefits they were promised for their service were false. Wealthy elites are scared this rabble will destroy order. Gov’t seems too weak. 1/5

In 1786 and into 1787 Shays’ Rebellion scared the hell out of this country’s leaders, who agreed The Articles of Confederation sucked. A convention met in Philadelphia to make corrections to the Articles. White male landowners, 55 in number overall, came & went. 2/5

The Framers drafted a unique document, founding a nation-state based on the principle of govt by consent of the governed, as contrasted with European monarchies’ “divine right of kings,” a reason this country is not a theocracy. The Framers created a govt to meet their needs. 3/5

January 6 was an insurrection of angry ppl manipulated by the (would-be) rich. Women, black people, Latinos & Latinas, indigenous ppl and LGBTQ folks were few among MAGA. Yet all those MAGA ppl try to blame Deep State/Antifa (DSA) for Jan 6. 4/5
