Indy GOP plays favorites in lead-up to May primary

Control of Indiana’s GOP by a few at the top chugs along as it has since 2005 when James Bopp, Jr. filed the Articles of Incorporation for the Indiana Republican State Committee, of which the Indiana Republican Party is a d/b/a. Worse: the party plays favorites. Example: Saturday, 1/5

March 4, Marion County’s GOP invited candidates in the 2023 municipal elections to a training session. I’m an anti-TIF, anti-corporate welfare, anti-gun GOP candidate in District 2. I wasn’t invited, unlike my opponent, Matt Hills, a recent arrival to Indiana. In a campaign video, 2/5

Hills talks about the “beautiful White River,” but doesn’t mention its undrinkable water. He refers to the Monon Trail & “small business pockets” as “life blood” of the community, but is unaware the (ugly & expensive) apartment buildings tossed up involved prolonged street 3/5

closures that crippled/ killed small businesses. He refers to pro sports & implies we should host more events like the Super Bowl®, the P & L statements for which we still have yet to see. He doesn’t mention finances or TIFs. Of late Indy’s GOP only has consistently lost. Candidates 4/5

like Hills will maintain that consistency. I’m Mark Small, pro-environment, pro-choice, anti-corporate welfare, anti-TIF GOP candidate District 2. I also know how to play euchre. (That’s a Hoosier thing, Matt.) I approve of this message. Hell, I wrote it. 5/5
