“Hoosiers for Quality Education.” Its purpose: “ensure quality educational opportunities” for “all Hoosier families regardless of income or zip code” & “improve student achievement” in “trad’l public schools,” charter, non-public, virtual schools, home schooling” & more. 2/6

Candidates who don’t complete a questionnaire may not B eligible 4 endorsement or campaign contributions from HQE. The questions (2 B posted here later) R slanted toward views of HQE PAC’s leader, Fred Klipsch who pushes privatization of schools via vouchers. 3/6

He founded HQE & is close friends w/Betsy DeVos. (Source: Indiana Coal’n 4 Pub Ed, Monroe County.) DeVos, Sec’y of Ed under trump, gave $ to American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). ALEC is a Koch-funded NFP that writes “model” legislation for lawmakers ...4/6

across the USA, probably while wearing smiley-face buttons & arm bands. I want neither HQE’s $ nor its endorsement. Public schools weren’t perfect, but they were part of why we were on the path to greatness. We were learned to question, not merely follow, authority. 5/6

We need to scrap vouchers & their funding of religious schools. I’m Mark Small: pro-choice, pro environment, pro-science, pro-separation of church & State & GOP candidate for Indiana House District 86. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it. 6/6

So, you think only rich parents should have the option as to where to send their children to school?
