In a debate w/Democratic Party nominee for IN Gov Jennifer McCormick, Mike Braun said, “So when you’re focusing on a lieutenant governor that means you’re shaky on what your own plans are going to be.” [FN1] Braun might be correct in the typical Gov/Lt Gov election, but 1/13

2024's election for IN Gov/Lt Gov is not typical BECAUSE of Braun’s running mate, Hamilton County preacher Micah Beckwith. If an Austrian former-corporal was on a ballot in Germany in 1932 as #2, hell yes the proper focus is on #2 because #2 actually ran things. 2/13

Braun is clueless. Prior to May’s primary, former Gov Daniels said it’s “kind of comical to see ppl running for governor like they’re gonna roll back the Chinese & defend the border.” [FN2] Beckwith, who recruited delegates for a year, still only won by 67 votes. [FN3] 3/13

Braun was stunned. Worse, Braun is naive in his assessment of Beckwith. “I’m in charge” & if Beckwith doesn’t work w/Braun it won’t be as “fruitful.” [FN4] Beckwith, as Lt Gov, would be like an 800-pound gorilla in the State house, except: 4/13

1) The office of Lt Gov is created by Indiana’s Constitution [FN5]; no provision allows the Gov to order the Lt Gov around.
2) Braun’s age should be considered because the Lt Gov is next in line. 5/13

3) Beckwith said he’d be a check & balance on IN’s Gov. [FN6] Checks & balances function between branches of gov’t, not w/in the same branch. [FN7] Lt Gov presides over the Indiana Senate [FN8] & could mess things up like s/he did to HEPL. 6/13

4) However the 800-pound gorilla got into the Statehouse, professionals can calm the gorilla & get it somewhere safe. Beckwith is neither as smart nor as peaceful as a gorilla.
We must focus on Braun’s running mate because Braun didn’t. 7/13

Beckwith says only Christians have the capacity to be moral [FN9] & in 2023 lauded Sean Feucht, who propagates a lie: the USA was created to be Christian for the benefit of Christians. [FN10] 8/13

History has taught that authoritarian regimes, which purport to act as “Christian,” tend to kill a lot of people, many of whom are Christian. Beckwith has weapons training in her/his church. Follow my friend Cassie Jackson on Facebook! #BrainsNotBraun 9/13
