Micah Beckwith [FN1] is the IN magaGOP nominee for Lt Gov. [FN2] Gosh golly! The person in the #2 slot on such a ticket usually is an after thought. The winner of the May primary to be the lead on the ticket thought so before & after the State convention in June. 1/12

Beckwith started her/his end-run on party leadership in June, 2023. [FN3] Earth did nearly a lap around the Sun & Beckwith drove a lot of miles recruiting Hoosiers to be delegates before the primary winner announced her/his pick of a running mate. [FN4] 2/12

In “Rocky,” as Apollo Creed talks business deals, his corner man, eyes glued to a TV story about Creed’s opponent trains by beating meat, [FN5] says, “You gotta see this.” Creed blew it off. There are differences. Creed was black & Braun isn’t. Stallone has brains & talent. 3/12

Party leadership has sought to distance itself fr Beckwith. [FN6]. A 9/27 email invite to a fund raiser described it as the only event at which the pair will appear together. Beckwith also one ups the lead on the ticket in lying. Braun’s campaign: “circulated a digitally altered 4/12

attack ad that broke” IN’s new law “against such spots w/o required disclosures and then chided” Beckwith “for being off-message.” [FN7] Beckwith “posted an AI-created image and trafficked in disinformation about the FEMA response to Hurricane Helene.” [FN8] And then? 5/12

Beckwith shows the value s/he places on Truth: “It doesn’t matter if this image is AI-generated or real….,” Beckwith later posted a lie about FEMA funds being “used up” to “shuttle illegals into your cities.” [FN9] This is what lies ahead of us if Beckwith wins. 6/12

Beckwith’s incompetence in his only public office, at HEPL [FN10] bore such a stench that the Beckwith campaign has not mentioned it in ads. IN’s LT Gov presides over the Senate in a more than ceremonial way. Beckwith could throw a tantrum & stop IN’s Gen’l Assembly. 7/12
