Evangelicals see a hero in Gov Abbott of Texas, who wants to investigate, 4 child abuse, parents of transgender children. It won’t take long before Evangelicals persecute/prosecute parents for a “greater crime,” in their view: eternity in hell for kids of atheist parents. 1/6

Evangelicals, e.g. Indiana preacher Micah Beckwith, believe there is no separation of church & State. Evangelicals, ultimately, see a person as one of “us” or one of “them.” Protestants, Roman Catholics, Muslims, & Jews have been “us” and “them.” 2/6

That Hinduism is older, & pagan beliefs > ancient makes those beliefs neither < nor > valid. The consciousness of a person who asks “Why are we here?” & answers “I’m not sure” predates religion. Huxley coined the phrase “agnosticism” in the late 19th Century. 3/6

Parents’ interest in upbringing children is the oldest of fundamental liberty interests recognized by the courts.” Traxel v. Granville, 530 U.S. 57 (2000). Evangelicals complain their children are targeted. That’s not true. Evangelicals use vouchers, big in Indiana. 4/6

They secure homogenous places to raise their children on public funds. They want to control all kids and not for any “bad” (in Evangelicals’ minds) reasons. They want to save kids even if you, your kids’ parents, don’t believe in their “god” or any “god” at all. 5/6
