As a transitive verb, “disgust” is defined: “1. to cause loathing or nausea in. 2. to offend the good taste, moral sense, etc., of; cause extreme dislike or revulsion in” Random House Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary, 2d ed., 2001, p. 565.
The racism of GOP candidates Abernathy, Bales, Beckwith, Brizzi, Dietzen, Henderson, Hullinger, Niederberger, Mitchell, Spartz and Wakley is of two types. One is explicit - the ghost of D.C. Stephenson probably loves those ads by Spartz and Brizzi.
The other is implicit as each tries to out-kiss the derriere of the current occupant of the Oval Office who has carried out policies disastrous for people not white. The COVID-19 crisis has killed African-Americans at a rate three times that of white people.
This is a variation on a play book used before in America. Indiana saw its use, quite starkly, almost 100 years ago. Last evening I streamed my reading of the death bed statement of Madge Oberholtzer from “My Indiana” by Irving Leibowitz.
Madge Oberholtzer was a secretary n the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. In 1925, she met D.C. Stephenson - the grand, high, exalted whatever of the KKK -at the Inaugural Banquet for Governor Jackson.
Stephenson made four dollars on every (minimum) ten-dollar initiation fee (white) men paid to join the KKK. He also got a cut from the sale of robes, hoods and peaked caps. “His take in eighteen months totaled more than $2 million.”
Jackson “campaigned for Governor in Stephenson’s Cadillac.” Stephenson “boasted he had delivered the Klan vote to ( ) Jackson. ... He dispensed Statehouse jobs to his Klan pals.” The head of the KKK felt he was above the law.
Jackson abducted and raped Madge Oberholtzer. She talked one of his thugs into letting her walk into a drug store, where she purchased 18 bichloride of mercury tablets. She took six of them. Her death was agony for her.
As she lay dying, she gave a statement of what had occurred. Stephenson was charged with, and convicted of, murder. If this had occurred today and trump had committed Stephenson’s acts, I do not believe trump would face charges.
I don’t know how we went down-hill this far, and this fast. The idiocracy that has become the GOP must be fought - but within as much as against. I have previously written that we need to take over the GOP. If you live in INCD5), your vote can make a difference.
A registered voter may request a ballot of either major party and overcomes challenge as a “real” R if s/he says s/he voted for a majority of the party’s candidates the last election or promises to do so in November. I.C. §§ 3-1-10-6 and -9.
You can watch the videos I stream. I discuss issues, but with clarity and knowledge, unlike my opponents. E-mail me - marksmall2001@yahoo.com - and I’ll see if I can address questions. One thing is sure: the GOP does not want me to have equal time.
I was not invited to a May 12 virtual town hall hosted by the Republican Party clubs of Washington and Lawrence townships for GOP candidates in INCD5. Despite blowhards saying they’d debate, and my agreement to debate, no one has gotten back with me.
Any rational person should be disgusted by the GOP overall, and Abernathy, Bales, Beckwith, Brizzi, Dietzen, Henderson, Hullinger, Niederberger, Mitchell, Spartz and Wakley specifically. Racsim should have no place in our government.
I’m Mark Small, GOP candidate in INCD5's June 2 primary. I’m pro-choice, pro-environment, anti-war and anti-dt. I’m not too chicken to debate, unlike most of my opponents. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it.
