Today, trump “confirmed reports that he plans to declare a national emergency to enact a mass deportation program” although he “did not offer any details on his plans.” [FN1] There’s no hue & cry, such as met demands that trump be stopped from dictatorship. Let’s review: 1/7

trump:
1) has promised to be a dictator;
2) says he’ll declare a nat’l emergency;
3) about immigration, that he exacerbated to preserve as a campaign issue;
4) in 63 days;
5) as evidence of Russian election interference mounts. 2/7

Pres Biden needs to address a national emergency: trump wants to scrap The Constitution, install a dictatorship, and put this country into a metaphorical slime pit. The emergency exists now. The
pieces of Project 2025 are being put in place. 3/7

This country is in danger. Pres Biden has authority to act. There will be no more elections, if trump is allowed to take the oath & steal for a second time the Oval Office. This danger exists NOW. History shows dictatorships are nurtured in their infancies by emergencies: 4/7

A former Chancelloraid his “Center Party would resist any overthrow of the constitution, demanding an investigation of the suspicious Reichstag fire and calling on President Hindenburg ‘to protect the oppressed against their oppressors.’” [FN2] Nothing was done. 5/7

“On March 5, 1933, the day of the last democratic elections they were to know during Hitler’s life ... the majority of them rejected Hitler.” [FN3] That did not matter. The emergency powers “provided the legal pretext for everything that was to follow...” [FN4] 6/7
