Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

7 Dems sold us out to fund DHS/ICE. Time’s too short

Cops can’t enter a home or business without a warrant. [FN1] There are exceptions to the Fourth Amendment, but none exists for “whims of a wannabe dictator in the Oval Office.” Provisions of the Bill of Rights were a result of experiences with King George, III. 1/10

The masked individuals sent forth in Minneapolis claim they do not need to comply with the 4th Amendment. [FN2] J.D. Vance claimed that those individuals have absolute immunity carrying out trump’s progrom. [FN3] That is not true. [FN4] Well, it didn’t use to be true. 2/10

Assertion of immunity coupled w/blanket pardons, for Jan 6 insurrectionists, conferred by trump as soon as he took office on 1/20/25, explain why people in Minnesota stay in their homes out of fear. That’s why 7 Democrats who voted to continue DHS/ICE funding sickened me. [FN5] 3/10

We should view this w/an eye on history. Elections in the Weimar Republic in 1932 were points at which the NSDAP, the definitive model for evil in the last century, might have been stopped. Once Hitler had power, the game was over. [FN6] Our mid-terms are set for November. 4/10

People are mistaken if they look only at our midterms as the sole means for resisting. Other ways to oppose this administration can be pursued. Boycotts of businesses that contribute to trump & his maga sycophants are an example of what else can be done, but please ... 5/10

This country’s on a tight schedule. People in Minnesota are getting murdered. The folks at 5-0-5-0-1 and No Kings have good ideas. Watch their schedules. One thing people can’t afford is back people running Dem who are GOP “light.” 6/10
