That maga world has lost its collective mind [FN1] over the NFL® choice of Bad Bunny for the half-time show at the Super Bowl® is understandable. [FN2] A message can, and must, be sent in the selection of the half-time artist, particularly with trump in office & this year. 1/13
Pro football has been dear to trump’s heart [FN3] for several decades. His success as a pro football franchise owner has been chronicled in film [FN4] and public records. [FN5] The last Super Bowl® took place shortly after trump took office, when Putin’s man 2/13
was busy w/more important concerns. Supplanting a republic, that has lasted for 236 years, with a rather tawdry dictatorship, while shaking down (even in ham-handed manner) billionaires for as much dough as possible, while trying to crater the USA, takes time. But now? 3/13
The “elephant in the room” is Jeffrey Epstein, [FN6] or, rather, his case files that may show how a guy w/no degree becomes a billionaire w/sex trafficking and blackmail as the most likely sources of his income. The choice of Super Bowl® half-time artist should be trump’s! 4/13
1: They should bring back the kind of half-time shows they used to have. Bands spelled out things or formed images as they marched.
2: trump doesn’t have to rack his brain [FN7] for a half-time artist. There’s his buddy Ted Nugent. 5/13
The playlist, to be consistent w/the half-time theme, would include “Stranglehold.” [FN8] Then there’s “Jailbait,” Nugent’s paen to a 13-year-old girl. [FN9] Band members could re-create trump’s drawing, in the birthday card for Epstein’s 50 of a female outline. [FN10] 6/13
Ghislaine Maxwell could be lowered, deus ex machina, from the roof of the stadium. [FN11]
The brevity of the playlist would give fans time enough to hit the bathroom. Some might want to recycle beer. Others might need to puke from the misogyny. 7/13
Footnotes:
FN1. If the reader thinks that “collective mind” is factually inapplicable to maga, the reader may consider it to be a convenient fiction.
FN2. I’ve not heard any of Mr Bunny’s work, but I shall endeavor to listen to some of his music after I finish, and post, this blog. 8/13
FN3. If the reader thinks that the heart in “trump’s heart” is factually inapplicable, the reader may consider it to be a convenient fiction.
FN4. See, “Small Potatoes: Who Killed the USFL?” (2009) 9/13
FN5. The lawsuit was United States Football League v National Football League, 644 F.Supp. 1040 (S.D.N.Y. 1986).Yes: trump prevailed. The jury’s award, by statute, was tripled! and accrues interest. That is One Dollar ($1) times three + interest. 10/13
FN6. If the reader thinks that an elephant, a kind, sentient creature, is factually inapplicable to Jeffrey Epstein in any way, the reader may consider it to be a convenient fiction and that if Epstein doesn’t like it, he can call me.
FN7. If the reader thinks that “brain” is factually inapplicable to trump, I won’t argue. 11/13
FN8. “I got you in a stranglehold, baby/And then I crushed your face.” “Stranglehold,” 1975 by Ted Nugent from the album, “Ted Nugent.”
FN9. “Jailbait,” by Ted Nugent. From the album, “Intensities in 10 Cities,” 1981.
FN10. The drawing in question was that of a female, but w/features more consistent w/an adolescent, not an adult. 12/13
FN11. Object because Maxwell is in prison? Get a grip. They moved her from a higher security facility to one in Texas that’s much like a college campus. They can move her to the Super Bowl® where trump needs her. And trump even could pardon her there! 13/13
