“False sense of security”: a polite descriptive for ICE monitoring voting sites in NJ & California. [FN1] “Scare away non-white voters”: less polite/more accurate descriptive for masked, heavily-armed ICE thugs in combat gear at voting sites. Consider: 1/9
1) Armed, masked ICE thugs do not make voting more secure.
Guns are not magic wands. ICE will stop ppl who look suspicious in a “Kavanaugh stop”; [FN2] “apparent ethnicity” is “relevant.” [FN3] The lead “apparent” [FN4] quality is skin color. 2/9
ICE thugs will stop ppl, drag them to the ground and take them away. [FN5] And the purported reason for sending ICE thugs to voting sites does not exist. Contrary to maga crap: it is “illegal for people who are not U.S. citizens to vote in federal or state elections.” [FN6] 3/9
2) History shows that armed thugs are used to instill fear.
Example: Indiana 1920s, KKK’s enforcement arm went to voting sites to scare ppl from voting. [FN7] To instill fear & suppress votes are the goals of armed groups at voting sites. 4/9
Efforts to suppress voting rights have an ugly history, especially of Black people since the Civil War, but also other groups. An armed ICE presence at voting sites in 2025 is the same as that of the KKK a century ago: armed thugs threatening violence to deny peoples’ rights. 5/9
Today’s elections in Maine, New York City, New Jersey, Virginia and California might give us an indicator of what to expect in the 2026 elections, if the Russian plant in the Oval Office & his minions allow free elections to occur. 6/9
