Greenland: too smart & won't lube up for a trump "deal"

trump wants Greenland and refused to rule out military force to take it. [FN1] Such an action by the USA would violate Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, ratified by the Senate in 1945. [FN2] The UN Charter is binding on our country as a treaty. [FN3] But wait! There’s more! 1/9

A basic premise in The Declaration of Independence is governments derive “their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed.” The people of Greenland are a semi-autonomous territory of Denmark. [FN4] Denmark is not the happiest country in the World; Finland is. 2/9

Denmark is not a hell-hole, but is #2 for happiness. [FN5] Last weekend, Danish TV “reported U.S. officials went door to door in Greenland looking for locals [] to meet with second lady Usha Vance, but the U.S. officials couldn’t find anyone interested.” [FN6] Then there’s this: 3/9

trump wants to “‘offer a sweeter deal’ to the semi-autonomous Danish territory’s government than Denmark does.” [FN7] There’s a problem with that strategy. As people who actually voted for trump are learning, trump is consistent n “deals.” trump breaks them. So ... ? 4/9

Even those of low IQs would not take trump’s word that his offer is “good” & Greenland will get a “sweeter deal.” I wanted to write this and get it posted before the dictatorship begins in earnest. Remember: “Abraham Lincoln didn’t die in vain. He died in Washington, D.C.” [FN8] 5/9
