trump's commerce sec'y says Epstein was a blackmailed: we need the files

Moments of candor [FN1] are as rare in trump’s administration as Nobel laureates educated in home schoolin’. Last week, Howard Litnick, Secretary of Commerce, talked about his former neighbor, Jeffrey Epstein [FN2] whose “suicide” many doubt. [FN3] 1/9

Litnick described Epstein as “the greatest blackmailer ever.” [FN4] I wasn’t surprised by Epstein leveraging recordings of the wealthy, powerful & perverted having sex w/kids & women, whom Epstein trafficked, to get big bucks. But how does DOJ deny any blackmail occurred 2/9

or a client list or recordings exists? [FN5] This is not a mere distraction from important events. As Heather Cox Richardson noted last summer, one observer speculated “Putin might possess ‘some form of the Epstein files’” that trump wants kept secret. [FN6] Putin rules by 3/9

“kompromat” [FN7] & terror, whom trump has tried, ineptly, to ape. [FN8] trump campaigned on release of the Epstein files. While lip service still lauds the 1st Amendment, we have a right to this info; it might convince enough people that trump is controlled from Moscow. 4/9
