Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

The "old guard" of the Democratic Party should step aside & not sell out ...

Several U.S. Senators [FN1] caved during the night and have entered an agreement to end the government shutdown. With little point in fuming about it, there are two batches of documents or lists that the voters have a right to see, the first being Epstein docs. 1/11

Membership in or affiliation w/a political party does not enter into diagnosis of an individual who sexually abuses a child. Epstein documents, w/o names being masked, should be released now. Anyone who holds public office in this country, regardless 2/11

of party affiliation, who (for example) traveled to Epstein’s island, should be presumed [FN2] to have been complicit in wrongdoing. [FN3]
There is a second batch of documents or a list or set of lists equally important. 3/11

Russians use “kompromat” [FN4] to blackmail or extort. We need to see names of U.S. elected officials, unelected officials and CEOs who have traveled to Russia. Frequency of travels and duration of stays can lead one to infer someone is being blackmailed. 4/11

We are witnesses to the longest government shutdown in our Nation’s history. The “old guard” of the Democratic Party seeks to hold on to power. Some are willing to toss under the bus people who had received recognition of their rights relatively recently. [FN5] 5/11

Contrary to the claims of the far right, the majority of people in the U.S. favor policies that are progressive. E.g., people believe in marriage equality and equality in general. [FN6] People understand issues on a level deeper than maga crap. We should not compromise. 6/11

Footnotes:
FN1. So far it appears those who agreed include Peters (D-MI), Durbin (D-IL), Shaheen (D-NH), Fetterman (D-PA), Hassan (D-NH), Kaine (D-VA), King I-ME), Casto (D-NV). 7/11

FN2. “[P]resumption of innocence is not guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution,” but “has been recognized as one of the most basic elements of a fair trial.” Cornell Law School, Legal Information Institute, citing Taylor v Kentucky, 436 U.S. 478 (1978). 8/11

FN3. “[A] presumption shifts the burden of production to the opposing party , who can then attempt to rebut the presumption.” Black’s Law Dictionary, The New Pocket Ed (1996), p. 495.
FN4. U.S. Dept of State, “Pillars of Russia’s Disinformation and Propaganda Ecosystem,” August, 2020. 9/11

FN5. E.g, “‘centrist’ political consultants continue to urge Democrats to drop transgender people altogether.” “As Some Dems Run From Trans People, Zohran Mamdani's Latest Ad Shows Real Support,” Erin in the Morning, 10/13/25, accessed 10/18/25. 10/11

FN6. “The latest 69% of Americans who support legal same-sex marriage, from Gallup’s May 1-23 Values and Beliefs poll, is statistically similar to the record high of 71% recorded in 2022.” Gallup, 6/24/24. 11/11
