Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

The Framers were aware of the bloody past, Part 7

Ratification of the Constitution was to be determined by State conventions specially called for that purpose [FN1] and minutes were kept of some State proceedings.[FN2] We should examine those records that “are very clear” [FN3] that our country was founded as a “Christian” nation. 1/9

The title pages of “Elliot’s Debates” do not bear any declaration or legend. Historically, Christians have not been shy about making such declarations: “Thus the eternal God, our Lord, gives victory to those who follow His way...” [FN4] Columbus’s arrival began massive die-offs. Others 2/9

came to a “New World” specifically to escape religious persecution. [FN5] “For nearly 150 years, the battle for ‘true’ Christianity tore early modern Europe apart.” [FN6] Fleeing Europe where they were persecuted for their religion, they persecuted others once here. This is history 3/9

the Framers knew, but that IN’s Lt Gov & other Christofascists would like to erase. This is why a secular national government was created. This iks why we need to push back, to protect freedom of religion and from religion. We all should be scared of Beckwith, et al. 4/9
