Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

"The Foundry," Indianapolis Int'l Film Festival and J.D. Ford, Democratic candidate for Indiana State Senate.

The Foundry, located at 236 East 16th Street, corner of 16th and Alabama, will be the location for today's Show, streamed live from 11 am to 1 pm. We shot there a few weeks ago and the place and people were so cool, we had to return.

The Indianapolis International Film Festival will take place July 17-26 this summer. We have covered the Festival the past two years and had fun each year. Each year, though, we were jumping into things half-way through. Event organizers were very helpful and gracious but extremely busy---imagine that, with several venues at which films are shown, entrants arriving from all over the World (hence "International" in the title)---and we seemed to have arrived in the middle.

I thought if we talked about the Festival two or three months in advance, we could give people a better idea beforehand of what this year's Festival will be about and people can make plans to attend. Craig Mince will join us. Craig is President and COO---either Chief Operating Officer or someone who is cuddly like a dove---and will talk about film categories and other cinema-related topics. I want to know how much popcorn members of the screening committees burn through during their reviews.

Also with us will be JD Ford. JD is the sole Democratic Party candidate in the May 6 primary for 29th Indiana State Senate District. The incumbent is Senator Mike Delph.

Kimann Schultz will discuss "Fashion and Style." Matt Stone, senior contributor, will be with us.

Also, in this week's episode of "Tail of the City," Mayor Mallard receives disturbing news about local professional sports franchise owners and their attempts to shakedown the City of Marionville.

Please join us from 11 am to 1 pm. You can catch us on "Indy Talks" on FaceBook.
