Civil Discourse Now

Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

SATURDAY, JANUARY 21, at 11 a.m.: CIVIL DISCOURSE? CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE!

Next Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., "Civil Discourse Now" will film one or more acts of civil disobedience. What is "civil disobedience"? Black’s Law Dctionary: "A deliberate but nonviolent act of lawbreaking to call attention to a particular law or set of laws of questionable legitimacy or morality."

This is real, folks. This is as real as it gets. The conduct will address corporate greed and oppression as well as efforts to quash free speech.

So—mark it on your calendars. Put a Post-It® note on your monitor. Do one of the weird things people can do these days with personal digital devices to remind themselves of anything and everything. Use a pen and write it on the palm of your hand.

Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. is when a message will be sent to the World. If you want to join in sending out that message, keep tuned (if that is the proper description for this medium) to this blog. There will be details in the coming days about activity that will be as non-violent as Ghandi's dipping a garment into the sea.
