Last summer, NoKings 1.0, nationwide, drew millions of protesters, [FN1] opposed to efforts by trump, et al, to impose a dictatorship. Last fall, NoKings 2.0 drew greater numbers. On 3/28, at over 3,100 places here & worldwide, more people will turn out for NoKings 3.0. [FN2] 1/10
Iran body counts, numbered corpses from bungling of COVID, those who died in the “action” in Venezuela, and random snuffs of people in fishing boats off the South American coast add up. [FN3] The Constitution does not give POTUS authority to attack on whims. [FN4] 2/10
The attacks on Iran also violate the United Nations charter, [FN5] a treaty that was ratified by the Senate and has the force of law. [FN6] The crowds for Saturday’s NoKings are expected to be bigger than 1.0 or 2.0. trump & co grow more desperate w/each seat flipped red-to-blue. 3/10
Everyone attending NoKings events should be careful. There is no room for violence in these, or any other, demonstrations. The toppling of the Berlin wall, in 1989, was mostly nonviolent and the work of Germans from East and West. Military stood back or joined in. 4/10
This administration is clownish as it kills. FLOTUS laughs and says a robot represents how the children in the future will be taught. And all of this, of course, is to distract us FROM THE EPSTEIN FILES & this admin doesn’t care how many get snuffed. 5/10
