Cops joined hands w/protesters - that's a start to resolve problems

Random bits as this primary election day begins: protesters and cops joined together in Indy to march. Other places in USA police took a knee to express support for the protests. In D.C., trump used a bible as a prop and a church as back-drop to foment hatred.

Evidence that those who carried out violence acted to discredit the protests: no trump properties were attacked. And hey - they’re easily recognized, what with his name in big letters on each building he erects.

Mayor Hogsett yesterday announced measures to calm the situation in Indianapolis. Some were similar to what I suggested a couple of hours earlier. Citizen oversight of police and ways to address injustice, not new spiffy weapons against protesters.

The more we learn, the clearer it becomes: violence during protests is instigated by those who seek to discredit the protests. The protesters have conducted themselves peacefully.

It takes patience and brains to work with other people to resolve problems that have existed for centuries, but any dumbass can wave a flag and use it as a club to fracture the skull of someone chosen at random.

If you believe trump and those who venerate him are a menace to our country, that we need to build rather than break down, and that we need to blot bigotry and ignorance from the GOP, please vote for me.

This president has cost tens of thousands of lives through his bungling of COVID. He has acted as if the protests that arose from a racist murder of an African American man are a war and our People are on the side of the enemy.

We cannot allow forces of hatred to remain in control of the Indiana GOP - a not-for-profit corporation. We need to stage a hostile takeover. If we don’t we cede half the playing field automatically.

The Republican Party was started in 1854 to fight against the most loathsome manifestation of racism in our history, slavery. I do not believe Lincoln, T. Roosevelt, Hudnut or Lugar would say the GOP should be a tool to promote, in POTUS’s hands, racism.

We are being played by racists, foreign powers, and selfish opportunists. trump & others are trying to use the protests to exacerbate racial hatred. Multiple forces want to divide us and fan these suicidal hatreds. We should ALL support the protests.

I’m Mark Small, GOP candidate for INCD5. I’m pro-environment, pro-choice, pro-civil rights and anti-trump. I believe in the traditional values of the GOP, not the bastardized values we see now. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it.

Thanks for a great campaign. You made me think about some things; taught me some things about the framers; sent me to the internet to research some references. And you raised important issues. Thanks!
