Bits and pieces of posts and conversations from the past few days & the past few months, not in any particular order, and responses/reflections:
Bit/piece: Gotta admit, at least they got a brutal dictator out of office in Iran. 1/9
Reply: There is no exception in either the Constitution or the War Powers Act for “brutal dictators.” There are 195 countries in the World. [FN1] Of these, 32 can be described as “hard” authoritarian regimes. [FN2] (E.g., Syria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia.”) This means... 2/9
Any wannabe dictator in the U.S. political system can simply dispatch military forces at nearly any time. Nowhere did the Framers of the Constitution shrug their shoulders and say a POTUS can act as a, well, monarch. 3/9
Bit/piece: The proper place for the American people to show their anger is in the 2026 elections.
Reply: trump wants to suspend all elections, the most corrupt Supreme Court in our history will act thoughtful and provide him an “okay.” If not, he’ll ignore them. 4/9
Bit/piece: Seriously, voters can express their anger in the 2026 elections in the land of the free!
Reply: they’re gathering voters’ information as they did in Georgia. Bannon bragged they’ll have armed people at voting places. And then they’ll count the votes. 5/9
Bit/piece: This country can pride itself on peaceful transitions of power.
Reply: There was a reason trump was so angry about the commercial in which Sen Kelly, et al, reminded military personnel that they cannot obey an illegal order. 6/9
Bit/piece: Only fear mongers are worried since there’s no reason for trump to do wrong.
Reply: Epstein files. Each day brings revelations worse than what came before. Cadaver dogs are about to have a field day as they dig up little corpses in New Mexico. 7/9
You don’t have to be Einstein to realize that a country cannot simultaneously prepare for war and maintain peace. Einstein actually said that. We’re about to go into the worst economic depression in history - if we’re lucky. trump might go really nutty & use the launch codes. 8/9
