Last evening’s blog [FN1] was written (relatively) fast. The posts of the radio talk show co-host to which the blog replied were short. There are a couple of points to add.
1) Kendall implies the subject matter did not merit 9 “X” posts of my prior blog. [FN2] 1/9

The subject matter, Lt Gov-elect Micah Beckwith & his aborted 11/21/24 visit to Westfield HS, were treated seriously by Kendall and his co-host. [FN3] Casey said that the high school took its action (canceling the visit) based on Beckwith’s faith. [FN4] That I disagree w/her opinion 2/9

is part of the point. Beckwith was unaccountable in a campaign for IN Lt Gov that bypassed the need for Beckwith to appear alone on a ballot. Beckwith spent a year, in part, convincing people to run to be delegates to the GOP State convention. Beckwith on education is scary. 3/9

In June 2024, Beckwith, about education, said: “‘There’s probably a lot of superintendents and principals in today’s culture that would not want someone like me coming in and teaching on true history,’ he told the delegates, ‘and what it means to be an American.’” [FN5] 4/9

Whether you agree with my opinion, that Beckwith’s “take” on American history is crap, does not matter. What matters is that Beckwith’s “true history” be subjected to debate. Beckwith has
never disputed that s/he:  5/9

1) Initiated contact with me in February, 2020, on my (then-) Twitter feed; or,
2) My interpretation of Beckwith’s jibes as challenge to debate.
That debate never has occurred. I would be glad to debate Beckwith. [FN6] 6/9

Kendall demeans the seriousness of the topic, but authoritarian regimes tell people what “true history” is, the same as Beckwith seeks to do.
