Under the “rule of law,” all people are equal before the law. [FN1] However, there are attempts at local, State and federal levels, to impose as a dictator the current POTUS. [FN2] Freedom of speech is protected by our federal [FN3] and Indiana [FN4]constitutions. 1/8
Political speech has been held to have greatest protection of any other category of speech. [FN5] SCOTUS [FN6] has held that a four-letter transitive verb is entitled to these same protections in the arena of political speech. [FN7] trump’s language has not been restricted. 2/8
He has used phrases, in public and without notices to shield the ears of children, that include that four-letter transitive verb. [FN8] To some, strong, coarse language validates trump’s messages. [FN9] We have a right to use the same languge because our rights are equal. 3/8
Violation of “rules” become mere pretext to remove speech from protest signs and posts on the internet. People in red caps call us wimps when we don’t cuss like their “leader,” and giggle at removal of opposition speech. There should be no unequal enforcement. 4/8
