Today, Robert Hubbell [FN1] noted the concern of “readers [] about the lack of a coordinated defense against Trump's efforts to run rough-shod over the Constitution. []Until a national leader emerges to unite the Democratic Party,” it is up to the grassroots to oppose trump. [FN2] 1/7
We do not have a luxury of time: trump taking office 1/20 means emergency powers invoked & trump will be a dictator permanently. Syrians overthrew Putin toady Assad. [FN3] In Georgia, protests erupted when the prime minister put talks on joining the EU on hold. [FN4] 2/7
“Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 and it continues to occupy the regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.” The prime minister, a billionaire, is seen as trying to be closer to Russia. [FN5] Pres Biden has grounds upon which to invoke the same emergency powers trump has mentioned. 3/7
Biden’s grounds: trump engaged in an insurrection that is ongoing and would reach its goal if trump’s sworn in; trump’s engaged in treason by adhering to our Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort [FN6] & by stating he will create a dictatorship & toss The Constitution. 4/7
We have our own “front” battles in Indiana. Christofascist/IN Lt Gov-elect Micah Beckwith is getting shoved around. (That’s the work of our allies in Hamilton County.) Remember: follow Cassie Jackson on Facebook! 5/7
