No one in the bar had seen the 3 before they parked their cycles (2 Harleys & an Indian nice & shiny like off a showroom floor) at the curb. None of the 3 wore “colors” or other finery of a motorcycle club. They went to back to play pool. 2 of the 3 had handguns on their belts. 1/6
It’s reasonable to presume that a minimum of 25% of the habitues of any bar in IN are packing. People just don’t make a show of it. These guys walked out of the bar and dawdled. The shortest of the 3 had his hand on his gun and kept pulling it almost all the way out of its holster. 2/6
There are restrictions on operating a vehicle if one is intoxicated. In Dodge City and Tombstone, in the not-so-Wild West, firearms were not allowed. The right wing has not suggested any way to stop gun violence or, more accurately, gun carnage. Bars should be gun-free places. 3/6
If guns are banned in bars, the same level of protection should apply to public schools. At Uvalde there were a bunch of “good guys” with guns & the shooter still mowed those kids down. I’m not “anti-Constitution.” Sycophants of gun culture ignore of our history of gun control. 4/6
The 3 guys weren’t there to play pool so much as to flaunt those firearms. At least they could see their own guns w/little help. Their beer bellies were pretty massive & blocked each one’s view of his other “gun.” They made their departure as loud as possible. Then I felt safer. 5/6
The 2nd Amendment was written to protect militias, not individuals like the idiots I describe. I’m Mark Small: anti-gun, pro-choice, pro environment, pro-separation of church & State GOP nominee for Indiana House Distr 86. I approve of this blog. Hell, I wrote it. 6/6
