Where the far left and far right overlap for fun and enlightenment

Thanks to New Wineskin Ministries and a fun day at "Taste the Difference"!

I would like to thank the folks at New Wineskin Ministries who allowed us to stream live from the “Taste the Difference” festival yesterday.
My description, in this blog yesterday, did not do justice to what we experienced. Sure, the festival involved celebration of foods from different cultures and places, but there was much more. Pastor Mark Brown spoke with us about the community work they do in what probably is the most culturally and ethnically diverse part of Indianapolis. We look forward to a future visit there.
There were tables provided for organizations of a wide range of interests and activities. The NAACP registered people to vote. Religions outside of Christianity were there. Even the new American Basketball Association team in Indianapolis, the Naptown Allstars, were there.
The festival represents the type of gathering that can bring people, with disparate views, together. Oh—and there was food there, too.
Political candidates and perhaps-candidates visited. Shawn Denney, Democratic candidate for the Fifth Congressional District and a veteran guest of Civil Discourse Now, visited with folks. J.D. Ford, Democratic Party candidate for Indiana State Senate and who is running for the seat held by Mike Delph, also was there.
Indianapolis City-County Council President Maggie Lewis dropped by our table, along with former United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana and probable candidate for Indianapolis Mayor, Joe Hogsett. Sheriff John Layton was on The Show, too.
The Show will be on re-play on Facebook and Soundcloud.
