<p>There are many races where there was only one party running? How are they counting the vote in this statistical analysis. If the D's have more uncontested races, that could well be the reason their vote is higher, not some sort of endorsement of Democratic policies. I didn't see a "mandate" for anything but the status quo from the election.</p>
